CCJusticeThe College is hosting a lecture on understanding and responding to the New York Fiscal Crisis of the 1970s featuring Kim Phillips-Fein, an  Associate Professor of History at the Gallatin School of Individualized Study at New York University. Professor Phillips-Fein  wrote Invisible Hands: The Businessmen’s Crusade Against the New Deal and is now she is writing a book on the history of New York City, focusing on the fiscal crisis of the 1970’s. This event is a part of the series of Conflicting Conceptions of Justice in the 1970’s.  This series is an excellent opportunity to understand the history behind the City’s current policy problems and struggles for social justice for all its residents.

The lecture will take place on March 18, 2013 at 7:00pm in room 630T.
